Version 1.0.0

All of my life I wanted to write and publish a children’s book. I have dabbled in all sorts of writing, journals, homeschool resources and more as you can see on my site. My first published work was my memoir “Tipping Scales and Wiping up Spills”.

My passion went into that book and it was a fun trip down memory lane recapturing all I lived through to work in the technical field of telecommunications.

But writing and completing a children’s book that I was excited about happened end of 2025. I wrote both a Christmas story designed for a young audience (PS my grandsons loved it). “My 5 Christmas Trees”. My first early reader, “Molly’s Spectacular Summer” is my latest book and the one that I really fell in love with.

I wrote the story and the words flowed out easily and I almost teared up when thinking of my Grandma. I was going to do a black and white book for cost reasons, but I really wanted to bring it to life in full color and I am happy I did.

I am obsessed with how this book turned out. The vibrant colored interior and the story are the things that took me back to being young and hopeful. And all the enjoyment I got with spending time with my Grandparents. They didn’t live on a farm, but they did cultivate the land and grow and preserve a bunch of fruits and vegetables. One of my greatest memories was being allowed to go into their cellar storage and pick the next preserved fruit or jelly that we could eat. I also have great memories of eating fresh things like peanut butter and honey that was made fresh. Many different types of fruits and combinations that were delicious.

Then there is the spin in my book with baking. My grandma made so many great foods. I remember eating her Valentine’s cake that she made us every year. The delicious cake with a whipped cream icing and cherries in the center. I have created one cookbook, but now this is recipe is going to come back to life and be incorporated into the 2nd Cookbook.

I may not have sold a lot of copies of my books, YET, but I am going to keep them coming. It’s a legacy that I hope to pass down to my kids and grandkids. They will be able to remember me with something tangible like a good story, a fun recipe that brings back memories and know how much I love them. I hope you pick up a good book or journal today and enjoy my creatiions!
